Backup & Disaster Recovery

Protect your data and resume operations within minutes with Azure

Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery guarantee automatically backed-up, geographically distributed and tested data. A disaster should not stop your business — we build your disaster recovery plan and test it with you.

Features

What Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery change for your business continuity

Azure Backup — VMs, files and databases

Back up your Azure virtual machines, on-premise files and SQL databases in a few clicks. Backups are automated, encrypted and stored in an Azure backup vault independent of your main infrastructure.

Azure Site Recovery — automatic failover

In the event of a critical failure, Azure Site Recovery automatically fails over your workloads to a secondary datacentre. Your applications restart within minutes with a measured and guaranteed Recovery Time Objective (RTO).

Granular restore

Restore exactly what you need: a single file, a complete database, an entire virtual machine or your full infrastructure. Granular restore avoids starting from scratch when only one element is affected.

Configurable retention

Define your retention policies according to your regulatory obligations and business needs: 30 days, 1 year, 7 years. Azure retains your restore points according to the schedule you choose, with no management complexity.

Multi-datacentre geo-redundancy

Your backups are replicated to at least two Microsoft datacentres in Europe. Even in the event of a major disaster affecting an entire region, your data remains accessible and restorable from another geographical zone.

Automated DRP tests

Azure Site Recovery lets you test your disaster recovery plan without impacting production. A failover test in an isolated network validates that your applications restart correctly. You test, you document, you sleep soundly.

The challenge

Is your backup strategy truly reliable?

  • Your backups have never been tested — you will only know whether they work at the moment you truly need them, and by then it will be too late
  • Your NAS is your only backup point — a fire, theft or flood takes the data and the backup with it at the same time
  • Your disaster recovery plan exists on paper but has never been tested under real conditions — nobody on your team knows whether it would hold up against a genuine disaster
  • You have no visibility into the status of your backups: when did the last full backup occur? Is it intact? How long would it take to restore your servers?

The Air Cloud approach to business continuity

A DRP that has never been tested is not a DRP. We build it, test it and train your team.

A managed disaster means a preserved business

Every hour of downtime costs revenue, productivity and reputation. We size your disaster recovery plan based on your actual RTO and RPO: what data loss you can afford and what downtime duration is acceptable. No over-engineering, no under-engineering.

Your team knows what to do in a crisis

We train your administrators on the Azure Backup console and Azure Site Recovery failover procedures. When the time comes, your team executes the plan without waiting for our intervention. We remain available for complex situations, but you hold the keys.

Certified Azure DRP architect

We design, deploy and test your disaster recovery plan from A to Z. Existing infrastructure audit, RTO/RPO definition per application, Azure Backup and Site Recovery configuration, documented failover tests and compliance report. A single point of contact for the entire protection chain.

Customer story
« We had Azure backups, but we had never verified that they actually worked. Air Cloud audited our strategy, configured Azure Site Recovery and organised a complete failover test. When we had an incident on our production server three months later, we resumed operations in 20 minutes. Without that DRP, we would have lost two days. »
